The studio

Anamel, “the fingertips”

In Arabic, أنامل means fingertips — the ones that hold the needle and guide the thread. It is the name Najlae Hlimi chose for her embroidery studio in Ouezzane.

Each hoop is drawn and then embroidered by hand, stitch by stitch: calligraphy names, dates, little motifs, ribbon and lace. A piece designed to become a keepsake.
